About Us

We as the operators of Kennel Land have a combined 90 years of experience caring for dogs and other animals and this is a reflection on our love for all animals.

Petra, originally from Germany, has not only a degree in Animal Naturopathy including Homeopathy, Acupuncture and Bach Flower Therapy but also a MBA in business and computer science. She looks after the business side of Kennel Land, manages the website and keeps the facility clean and tidy. Petra is also a licensed horse professional and has been an animal trainer for over 30 years. All kinds of animals, but especially horses and dogs are her life and her “children”.

Tony has been a proud dog owner for most of his life and has experienced and trained working dogs such as sled dogs, hunting dogs and most importantly the regular family dogs. He became involved with dogs helping his Dad and later his uncle train and care for sled dogs in northern Ontario where Tony grew up. Through his whole life Anthony had animals around him and he has been active with the Humane Society rescuing several dogs. He also participates in Wildlife Management since many years. After working for many years full-time as manager for a big telephone company Tony is now working full-time in the kennel, looking after all the needs of our canine guests and giving them lots of 1-on-1 attention. He is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kennel, feeding and walking the dogs and maintaining the facility. He also conducts most of the initial meet 'n' greets and gladly answers any questions you might have. In his role of supreme cookie master he is also in charge of all the dog treats and the walks so every dog simply loves him.

Our on-site family consists of our own dogs and a small herd of horses. The setting is a beautiful facility on a huge farm surrounded by wildlife such as deer, turkey, rabbit, geese and various other animals roaming around. We are set up on the Niagara Escarpment as well as being a part of the area's Green Belt.
Send your dog to the farm to enjoy the clean air and let your dog be a dog.
Your dog will be part of our family!
