1. We run a personal business. We do not employ various handlers for our boarded friends who might or might not have enough experience with animals. We are responsible for our guests and we care for them ourselves. Our facility is always kept clean and tidy and your dog will be cared for as if he is one of ours. All dog breeds, large and small, are welcome.

2. Our business is a registered business with insurance and we are a licensed kennel. We are also regularly inspected by the municipality and the Halton Region Health Department and we follow all by-laws and regulations for the well-being of our guests.

3. We are open by appointment only. This has several reasons. We want to make sure that we have enough time to welcome you and your pet, show you around the facility and answer all your questions that you might have. This is a big farm and we might be out running or walking some dogs and will not be able to hear you arrive if we do not know that you are coming. We also do not want to upset our own dogs and our canine guests by having total strangers walking around on the property unaccompanied. For these reasons the farm is gated and we expect you to arrange a date and time before you drop by.

4. We accept cash, cheques and interac e-transfers. Applicable deposits are due upon booking; no payment = no reservation. If additional expenses are incurred during your pet's visit at our facility they are due in full upon pick-up.

6. Our house vet for small animals is Dr. Stephen Ball from Brookville, Ontario. If there is an emergency with a canine guest we reserve the right to take your dog to Stephen Ball at your expense. We are not to be held responsible or liable for damages in any manner whatsoever resulting from such treatment.

7. All our guests are asked to be current on all of their vaccines. Mandatory by law is Rabies; Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza are usually combined in a vaccine called DAP2. Bordetella or Kennel Cough is an additional vaccination that is recommended by vets. Please provide proof that your pet is up-to-date on its inoculations or titer testing before boarding. In rare cases where vaccinations are not possible or not yet complete (very young animals, senior dogs or allergic reactions to vaccines) a statement of your vet is sufficient and the dog owner him- or herself is fully liable for any problems arising out of the missing vaccination, be it to his or her dog or any other animal that may be affected.

8. You as dog owner are responsible for liability and other appropriate insurance of your dog. We assume no responsibility for the loss, damage or theft of your dog or his toys, bed etc. other than explicitly spelled out in the law (e.g. negligence) or covered by our insurance.

9. We will not attempt to sell you a certain brand of food, treatments or any other pet products. Whatever you deem good for your pet is fine with us. However, if you are interested in holistic methods for your dog please feel free to ask Petra for recommendations.

10. To make your pet more comfortable we recommend to bring something of his own like his bed or toys or a blanket. If your dog has special needs in regard of diet, nutrition or medication please provide us with the necessary supplements or medication and we will administer it as per your instructions. In order to not disrupt your dog's digestive system we advise that you bring your own dog food.

11. In order to comply with the noise by-law of our local municipality we reserve the right to put a bark collar on dogs that bark excessively and disruptively. We use the NoBark 6, a high end vibration collar from SportDog, having found that the citronella spray collars can cause allergic reactions. For more information please go to SportDog's website.

12. By booking with us you automatically agree to these terms and policies.
